Terms of Service
Last updated: 11 August 2026
These Terms govern your use of Opti at optieducation.app (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.
1. Who we are
Opti is an independent ESAT study tool operated by Enzo Horps, an individual based in France. Contact: support@optieducation.app.
2. Eligibility & age
You must be at least 13 years old to use Opti. If you are under 16, you confirm that a parent or guardian has given you permission to use it. By using the Service you confirm you can form a binding agreement under the law that applies to you (if you are a minor, that a parent or guardian agrees to these Terms on your behalf).
3. The Service
Opti helps you practise for the ESAT using a curated question bank, the official specification, timed practice sessions, and study tools. It is a study aid only. We do not guarantee any particular exam result, score, or admission outcome, and our questions and worked solutions are provided to help you learn. They may contain errors and are not official exam materials.
4. Not affiliated with the exam
Opti is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the University of Cambridge, Imperial College London, Pearson VUE, UCLES, or any official ESAT body. “ESAT” and any related names are the trademarks of their respective owners and are used only to describe what Opti helps you practise for.
5. Your account
You agree to give accurate information, keep your password secure, and not share your account. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at support@optieducation.app if you suspect unauthorised use.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- copy, scrape, redistribute, or resell the question bank, solutions, or other Service content;
- reverse-engineer, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service;
- exceed or circumvent rate limits, or use bots or automation against the Service; or
- use the Service for anything unlawful.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.
7. Your content
You keep ownership of the notes, feedback, and other text you submit through the Service (“Your Content”). You grant Opti a limited licence to store and process Your Content solely to provide the Service to you (including the processing described in our Privacy Policy). You confirm the content you provide is your own.
8. Our content
The Service and its content, including the question bank, specification mappings, worked solutions, design, and software, are owned by or licensed to Opti and are protected by intellectual-property law. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive right to use the Service for your own study. No other rights are granted.
9. Price & payment
Opti Pass is a one-time payment, not a subscription. Nothing renews and there is nothing to cancel. The price for each sitting is shown on the checkout page before you pay. Prices are in euro and exclude tax. Stripe acts as merchant of record for Opti Pass and calculates and collects any tax due on top of the listed price at checkout.
A pass gives you access until the end of the sitting it is bought for, and then it ends. The October 2026 pass runs until 16 October 2026 and the January 2027 pass until 9 January 2027, whenever you buy it. Buying a pass for a later sitting while you hold an earlier one extends your access to the later date; it never shortens it.
Some students see a reduced founder price because they had an Opti account before Opti Pass existed. That price is tied to the account and is not transferable. Parts of Opti stay free: your session review, your stats, the community and the formula sheet do not need a pass.
10. Your right to withdraw
If you are a consumer in the EU or the UK you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase of digital content, for any reason. Because Opti Pass gives you access immediately, we ask you to agree to that before you pay. By ticking the box at checkout you ask us to start supplying straight away, and you acknowledge that once we have, you lose your right to withdraw. We confirm that agreement in the receipt you get from Stripe.
If you would rather keep the full 14 days, don’t tick the box and email support@optieducation.app instead. We will hold your access until the period ends and start it then. Either way, if Opti Pass is faulty or is not as described, your statutory rights are unaffected and you should contact us.
11. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We don’t warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its content is accurate or complete. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Opti will not be liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss arising from your reliance on the Service’s content for exam outcomes. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your mandatory rights as a consumer.
13. Suspension & termination
You can stop using Opti and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms or to protect the Service or its users.
14. Changes
We may update these Terms. We’ll change the “Last updated” date and, for significant changes, take reasonable steps to let you know. Continuing to use the Service after changes means you accept them.
15. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by French law, where Opti is operated from. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection of the mandatory rules of the country you live in, and you can bring proceedings there. If something has gone wrong, please email support@optieducation.app first: we would much rather fix it than argue about it.
